چکیده

This paper provides links between the young eld of attractor coding and the well-established elds of systems theory and graph theory. Attractor decoders are modeled as linear systems whose stability is both necessary and sufcient for convergence of the decoder. This stability is dictated by the location of the eigenvalues of the sparse state transition matrix of the system. The relationship between these eigenvalues, spatial causality of the system, and the patterns of interdependency between signal elements (or image pixels) is investigated for several cases using concepts from graph and matrix theory.

Attractor Based Analysis of Centrally Cracked Plate Subjected to Chaotic Excitation

The presence of part-through cracks with limited length is one of the prevalent defects in the plate structures. Due to the slight effect of this type of damages on the frequency response of the plates, conventional vibration-based damage assessment could be a challenging task. In this study for the first time, a recently developed state-space method which is based on the chaotic excitation is ...

Analysis of Resting-State fMRI Topological Graph Theory Properties in Methamphetamine Drug Users Applying Box-Counting Fractal Dimension

Introduction: Graph theoretical analysis of functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) data has provided new measures of mapping human brain in vivo. Of all methods to measure the functional connectivity between regions, Linear Correlation (LC) calculation of activity time series of the brain regions as a linear measure is considered the most ubiquitous one. The strength of the dependence obl...

A Kind of Non-commuting Graph of Finite Groups

Let g be a fixed element of a finite group G. We introduce the g-noncommuting graph of G whose vertex set is whole elements of the group G and two vertices x,y are adjacent whenever [x,y] g  and  [y,x] g. We denote this graph by . In this paper, we present some graph theoretical properties of g-noncommuting graph. Specially, we investigate about its planarity and regularity, its clique number a...

Numerical and Experimental Analysis of Nonlinear Parabolic Springs Employed in Suspension System of freight cars

Nonlinear vibration of parabolic springs employed in suspension system of a freight car has been studied in this paper. First, dynamical behavior of the springs is investigated by using finite element method and the obtained results are then used in vibration analysis of a railway freight car. For this purpose, dynamics of a parabolic spring subjected to a cyclic excitation has been studied ...

Contractive Digraphs and Splicing Machines

Contractive digraphs and splicing machines, notions that seem to be new in the theory of directed graphs, are introduced. The existence and uniqueness of the central object, the attractor of a contractive digraph, is proved, and the attractor is shown to be the unique fixed point of a natural operator defined on sets of vertices of the digraph. The attractor of a contractive digraph is then sho...
